What The Heck Is mAh?

mAh stands for milliamp hours. In laymen terms the milliamp hours translates to the amount of talking and receiving you can do on your radio BEFORE having to charge up the battery.  Therefore the higher the mAh, the longer you can talk and receive before having to put the battery in the charger.  Is a higher mAh 'better'?  Only if you use them...if you are putting your battery in the charger after your shift (for example an 8 hour shift) and you are not using up all the mAh, then a higher mAh doesn't make sense.  If, however, you are using the battery until it beeps while in your radio ( such as a 12 to 16 hour shift) AND THEN YOU HAVE TO CHARGE IT, then you would want to use the higher mAh.  Why pay for higher mAh if you are not using it right?
